The Art of Sustainability

PALM BAY, FL – On March 25, the 2nd Annual “Art of Sustainability” event begins at Palm Bay City Hall from 10am to 4pm, featuring massive kinetic sculptures, exciting Family Fun Day activities and Green Talks. Admission is FREE and children are welcome!

  • Art of Sustainability Family Fun Day will feature: Performances by Heather Henson’s Ibex Puppetry, family fun crafts and activities, interactive stations, kite crafting and flying, food trucks, free face painting and massive kinetic sculptures towering up to 35ft tall.
  • Green Talks: Come and join the debate. This year’s Green Talks feature noted speakers from Florida Tech, Brevard Zoo and Stetson University. The talks provide a unique opportunity for attendees to actively engage in discussions about the Indian River Lagoon and other pressing environmental issues.

“We’re pleased to have the Art of Sustainability event returning this year to highlight our environmental assets here in Palm Bay,” said Palm Bay Mayor William Capote. “Using beautiful, moving kinetic sculptures loaned by internationally-known artists will help attract and engage visitors with important issues tied to the health of our local environment.”

“Brevard Cultural Alliance (BCA) is proud to take this opportunity to once again place the arts at the heart of one of Brevard’s communities,” said Neil Levine, BCA Executive Director.

Kinetic art is beautiful large-scale sculptures, which move in response to the environment (wind, sun), encouraging us to think about environmental issues.
