Walking down the streets in beautiful Cocoa Village, one storefront remains prominent; Jon’s Fine Jewelry has been a staple on Brevard Avenue since 1991, and is marking its 20th anniversary.
Throughout high school, Philadelphia native, Jon Miller could be found making jewelry, so it was no surprise that when he went to college he studied fine arts, with many courses focused on jewelry design. He then went on to study at Bowman Technical School where he acquired his skills for jewelry bench work. When he graduated he was offered 3 jobs, he choose the one in Cocoa, Florida. At the time it was TA Anderson, however in 1991 Jon purchased the store and Jon’s Fine Jewelry entered historic Cocoa Village.

Since 1991 Jon’s selections have grown to include pieces from the finest collections including Pandora, Hearts on Fire and Kirk Kara. The store has gone through a major transformation, with a complete remodel in 2008 that brought a warm atmosphere to an already friendly environment.
Jon’s has also watched Cocoa Village grow a remarkable amount. “At one point, the theatre, which sits directly across the street was not running, and the whole village seemed empty. It seems there has been a 50% increase in occupation since my early days in Cocoa,” explains Miller.

With all these changes, some things have remained the same; you will always be greeted with a warm smile at Jon’s. Miller’s goal was to create an atmosphere where you felt welcome, even in an industry that is known for it’s not so humble surroundings. Also, Jon’s Fine Jewelry continues to provide its customers with the highest quality pieces. Miller, a fan of colored stones and opal, will handpick pieces on trips across the country and bring them back to Brevard. In fact, Jon’s is known throughout the Space Coast for their selection of colored stones and opals, and many customers are sent to Jon’s from other stores for this reason. At Jon’s you are sure to find a piece that is an original.

Jon’s continues to give back to the Space Coast. Every month all proceeds from watch battery changes are donated to a non-profit organization such as Habitat for Humanity or Meals on Wheels in a program called “Time for Charities.” Jon himself is an active Rotary member and feels it is important to give back to a community where he says is “a great place to have a business.”
Watch out Belgium, Jon’s is on their way!

On April 2 Jon’s Fine Jewelry traveled to Antwerp, Belgium where 60% of the world’s rough diamonds come from. They returned with a handpicked selection of the finest diamonds for their customers.

Make sure to join Jon’s when they return to celebrate their 20th anniversary. May 12, 13 and 14 Jon’s Fine Jewelry will be raffling off prizes including a pair of diamond stud earrings from their trip to Belgium. Visit for a chance to win.
