Concertmaster at Merritt Island Public Library Thursday May 26th at 7pm
Space Coast Symphony Concertmaster, Igor Markstein, will return to the Merritt Island Library on Thursday, May 26th at 7 p.m. to perform a free concert for the community. The violin player and his cellist wife, Joan Markstein, will be joined by Joni Roos on violin and Linda Utz on viola. The quartet will serenade the audience with the music of Mendelssohn as well as “listener-friendly” selections from the 20th Century. Library Director, Jeff Thompson is glad to welcome the Markstein Quartet back to the Merritt Island Public Library.
“Igor Markstein and his quartet are a favorite with our library patrons,” said Thompson. “Our auditorium is the perfect setting for an intimate chamber concert. Kids especially enjoy watching the musicians up close.”
