Stanojkovski Brothers Expand Culinary Excellence at CuiZine Restaurant & Lounge
If ambiance was a physical attribute, you could wrap your arms around it at CuiZine in Satellite Beach. Or rather, it could wrap its arms around you. As your eyes adjust from the bright sun of the beach, you’ll find the epitome of the classic jazz piano lounge — dark wood and leather, music from the white baby grand in the corner, and a staff that keeps it intimate. In a word, perfect.

Owned and operated by brothers Zoran and Marjan Stanojkovski, CuiZine was built on the experience they gained as the proprietors of the Palm Café at the Kiwi Tennis Club, long a local favorite. Zoran speaks very fondly of his time there, but says, “There was a bigger opportunity to grow here, and we just needed to do more than that space would allow.”

The brothers have worked miracles here. From the ashes of two other restaurant tenants at this location, room after room now unfold as you discover that this is a big place, yet each room has its own palette and feel, whether for a romantic dinner for two or a family gathering or private corporate group of up to 20 people. Private dining rooms can be reserved as well as that tiny corner booth that is so inviting.

So now that you are seated, what’s next? A short, well-selected range of Mediterranean menu items featuring Grilled Lamb Chops, Herb Lump Crab Cakes, Pork Osso Bucco, and three different Certified Angus steak cuts call out from the menu — each prepared more uniquely than offerings at most other local restaurants. Zoran is quick to add that most everything is made from scratch. “We love this PLACE, but we have a PASSION for the food, too!” This is obvious in every plate presented.

CuiZine (the big “Z” is for Zoran) opens its doors at 5:00 p.m. every day except Sunday, with a special Happy Hour menu in the lounge from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is live music featuring jazz piano on Thursday, sultry jazz sax on Friday, and singer Haia interprets modern classics on Saturday. Experience the Warm Mediterranean Octopus Salad from the small plate menu with a glass of wine from their extensive “cellar” or try their own CuiZine Premium Red Lager with the Baked Coconut Crusted Chicken Skewers from their Happy Hour fare, you can’t go wrong with either, and maybe “both” is the BEST answer!

Zoran says, “Fine cuisine is created here with attention to detail and finesse, and it doesn’t have to be expensive.” Their Cuizine Burger Slate Board is proof positive. An 8-ounce Certified Angus beef burger with Applewood smoked bacon, baby ‘Bella mushrooms and Swiss is served on a brioche roll. It is accompanied by homemade coleslaw, truffle parmesan fries, and wait for it… a root beer float! Sometimes you just need to grab “fine cuisine” with both hands.

Do yourself a favor this week, come in from that bright sunshine and let your eyes, and palette, adjust to CuiZine. Zoran and Marjan are waiting here to impress you.
