As you enter Big League Eatery, you are greeted by a casual, family-friendly restaurant surrounded by baseball memorabilia displaying the sport’s greatest moments. An array of unique gourmet burgers are created monthly by Chef Don Bianco, co-owner of the restaurant. For twenty years, his artistry in food creation has led him to opening the business alongside his brother, Ernie Bianco, ex-NASA Tech and Process Engineer turned restaurant manager.

“Our meat is an 80/20 blend that is hand-pattied every day and sprinkled with our signature blend of seasonings,” said Ernie. “Our burgers are never frozen.”

What sets Big League Eatery apart from any other family restaurant is the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and a love of baseball combined with distinctive weekly and monthly specials.

Besides burgers, Chef Don dishes out wings that are never frozen and crab cakes that have been claimed to be some of the finest in the county. His signature sandwich, however, is The Babe, consisting of two 10 oz. burger patties, topped with a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, applewood smoked bacon, cheese, crisp onion rings, lettuce, tomato and pickle. The sandwich is served with a mound of fries and comes with a 30 minute challenge similar to those seen on popular television series such as “Man vs. Food.” Of the more than 250 diners who have attempted this challenge, only 43 have completed it, with the best finishing time of 10 minutes and 42 seconds. Winners receive a t-shirt proclaiming their victory along with the honor of their names etched onto a plaque.

With plans to expand in the next five years to a second south Brevard location, Chef Don continues to experiment with new burger flavors. Two that have found a home on the menu include a Philly Fanatic, which is a burger patty topped with shaved rib eye, grilled peppers and onions, and a cheese sauce served on a hoagie roll and The Golden Greek, a ground lamb burger made with rich feta cheese, baby spinach, onions, tomatoes, and cool tzatziki sauce.
