One lucky duck adopter will win a New Car!
We are quacking with delight to announce the 21st Annual Great Brevard Duck Race will be held at a new location, Lee Wenner Park in downtown Cocoa Village, and the new date is Saturday, March 30th. This spec-quackular race will begin at 3:30 p.m. after the Central Florida Car Show. “We are excited to be partnering with the Historic Cocoa Village Association and we greatly appreciate their tremendous support along with the City of Cocoa,” said Jan Lokay, President and CEO of Crosswinds.
The Great Brevard Duck Race is the major fundraising event for Crosswinds Youth Services. Duck season begins in February and 12, 000 ducks will be available for adoption for a $5 donation at various bank locations throughout Brevard County or you can adopt online now at www.greatbrevardduckrace.com. “Last year, 10,000 ducks were adopted before race day and for the first time in history we had to quickly get 1,000 more ducks shipped in, surpassing our goal,” said Misty Campbell, Director of Development at Crosswinds. Every duck adopted provides hope to children in crisis and enters you for a chance to win fabulous prizes including the Grand Prize, a 2019 Honda Fit, free 2 year lease, courtesy of Space Coast Honda; a four-night Disney Cruise Line vacation for 2 guests departing from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Dream, courtesy of Disney Cruise Line; a Stressless Leather Chair and Ottoman by Ekornes plus a $500 gift card, courtesy of Indian River Furniture; a large Big Green Egg Grill, nest, and accessories, courtesy of Wassi’s Learning Center.
