Basic Drawing Skills Class begins February 6, 2020
Good drawing skills are the foundation for great art. The Studios of Cocoa Beach is hosting a “Basic Drawing Skills” class with Susan Cole Stone at the gallery, 165 Minuteman Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach. The six session class for beginners meets on Thursdays from 1 pm to 3 pm , beginning February 6, 2020 and ending on March 19 (no class on Feb 27) Students will learn how to draw what you see as well as the basic principles of drawing, including perspective, shading and composition .
Susan Cole Stone attended Paier School of Art in Connecticut, majoring in illustration and fine art. She took classes at Rhode Island School of Design and has been a working artist since 1975. She has illustrated many books and scientific journals, worked as a graphic artist, exhibited in several galleries, and has won many awards for her works.
Susan is an accomplished artist of architectural subjects and is able to render a detailed drawing from blueprints or from life. She accepts commissions for custom drawings and watercolors of homes and businesses and pets. She also has taught at and been exhibited at several galleries in Florida, Rhode Island and Connecticut,.
