IBEX Puppetry Troupe Performs at Titusville Sea Turtle Festival

IBEX Puppetry will perform at the Titusville Sea Turtle Festival from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, May 11.  Founded by Heather Henson, daughter of Muppet creator Jim Henson, this group combines the art of storytelling with state of the art puppets.  In film, theater and interactive performances the group blends puppetry and dance with evocative sounds to create presentations which engage the senses and the soul

IBEX is bringing their Endangered Species Parade to the Sea Turtle Festival as well as a Kids Puppet Crafts tent where children can create their own sea turtle puppets and a Music Garden where attendees can experiment with sound .  Their performance is sponsored by the Greater Titusville Renaissance, Inc. a local not-for-profit organization supporting the revitalization of North Brevard.

The Parade will wind its way through the festival on S. Washington Ave,. in downtown Titusville several time during the day.  Families are encouraged to join in the fun with IBEX’s large puppets featuring manatees, whooping cranes, sea turtles, and more , as well as kites, flags, costumed dancers and musicians representing the elements, the environment and the heartbeat of the planet.  IBEX’s activities all have an environmental focus advocating for harmony between humans, animals and the planet earth
