Know Your Bees: An Introduction to Honey Bee Biology

Are you interested in beekeeping? If so, you may be interested in our next class, “Know Your Bees: An Introduction to Honey Bee Biology”  this class will be held at  UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County, 3695 Lake Drive, Cocoa, FL, 32926 on Friday, January 10, 2019. Time: 1-5pm   Registration is $25 via Eventbrite at the link below.

Snacks and coffee provided.

Attendees who complete this workshop will be able to:

  • List the four resources that honey bees collect from the environment
  • Identify a queen, worker, and drone
  • Identify a honey bee egg, larva, and pupa, and
  • Differentiate between solid and spotty brood patterns
  •     ​Perform a hive inspection with official checklist
