Pam Werneth, November Artist of the Month
Many people are fascinated by jewelry, by the sparkle and shine and by the connection of a special bracelet or necklace to important people in our lives. Few of us turn that interest into a career creating jewelry. This November, the Studios of Cocoa Beach, 165 Minuteman Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach, is pleased to present the work of Pam Werneth, their Artist of the Month
Pam has been creating jewelry for 25 years since taking classes at college in California. In addition to being beautiful, Pam wanted her pieces to have a voice, to speak to the wearer. In the beginning she added symbols like hearts and stars. These morphed into more detailed complex designs with gemstones, pearls and crystals. During the handcrafting process her pieces draw energy from the materials used. Her custom pieces are planned to tell a specific story or create a specific feeling.
Pam says, “It gives me great joy to watch someone connect and bond with one of my pieces. It is proof that jewelry has a voice and story to tell. It might sound crazy, but it no longer surprises me when customers who are looking for more peace, love, inspiration, or magic in their lives chose a piece that I specifically created to do just that!”
One of Pam’s necklaces will be the prize in the Studio’s November Art Giveaway. You can enter this free drawing in person or click on the QR code displayed on the door if we’re closed.
