Dr. Kumar brings over 20 years of experience in many facets of general dentistry to Wickham Dental Care, and has been providing exceptional service to patients there since 2005. Everyone wants a healthy, beautiful smile and Dr. Kumar and his team work hard to reach that goal. In order to ensure positive experiences for patients at Wickham Dental Care, Dr. Kumar and his staff strive to provide each patient personalized attention in a professional and comfortable environment. At Wickham Dental Care, Dr. Kumar uses the latest technologies to provide a wide variety of dental services to help achieve that beautiful smile.
Dr. Kumar began his oral surgery training in the United Kingdom and earned his MFDS RCS qualification at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland. He then completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Louisiana State University, before earning his DMD degree at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Kumar’s desire to provide the highest quality of care and treatment for his patients motivated him to further his education at the Misch International Implant Institute. Through the intensive program, he attained the highest honor of Diplomat and Surgical Fellow at the International Congress of Oral lmplantology. In addition to his advanced training, Dr. Kumar implements the most advanced technology such as CT scans and computer-guided surgical techniques to achieve the most successful treatment outcomes. He continually strives to learn the newest techniques by traveling all over the world for continuing education programs so that he can provide quality treatment solutions for his patients and their needs. Dr. Kumar is currently involved in the rehabilitation of severely resorbed upper jaw bones with zygomatic implants utilizing computer guided surgical procedure as well as complex bone grafting techniques.
Dr. Kumar is also committed to giving back to his community by supporting local community organizations and charities. He is particularly proud to be able to provide free dental services on one full day of the year for those in need in his community and overseas through The Smile Generation Foundation.
In addition to his full time practice and active participation in medical and dental seminars, Dr. Kumar has brought his skills and expertise in dentistry overseas through a clinical teaching position in Brazil. During his free time, Dr. Kumar enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and traveling. He is also an avid reader and an animal lover.
