Seafood witStyle | Chart House Reveals a Major Modern Makeover

Chart House in Melbourne at the Harbor Marina on Front Street, has delivered one-of-a-kind cuisine on the banks of the Indian River Lagoon since 1982.

Recently revealing a fresh and modern new look for the restaurant space, the Chart House has been transformed into a modern masterpiece, while still taking advantage of the magnificent waterfront views.

Updated with a sleek design, the space has a fresh new ambiance with a modern feel, offering guests the ultimate dining experience with unparalleled views. In addition to new carpet, lighting, artwork, fabrics and wall coverings, the restaurant also boasts a new, expansive bar with seating on three sides and unobstructed waterfront views, incorporating the bar into the dining area.

“We made extensive renovations to the interior of the restaurant to enhance our visitors’ dining experience,” said Bill Mitchell, general manager of Chart House in Melbourne. “An important part of the renovations was assuring that the restaurant showcased the views of the surrounding natural beauty.”

In addition to updating the interiors, Chart House has updated its menu packed with new soon to be favorite items including salmon nicoise, scallops Italia, wicked tuna, Kim Chee calamari, seafood panzanella and charcuterie and cheese plate.

One of the new appetizers, wicked tuna is Ahi tacos, tartare and pepper seared. Another, the Kim Chee calamari is lightly fried with crisp vegetables.

Non-seafood starters like the charcuterie and cheese plate with select hard salami, prosciutto, brie, smoked and hard cheeses with a fig sauce still satisfy.

Of course, the Chart House’s famous salad bar is a popular choice to start. The salad bar offers a wide selection of top notch items, even caviar and a Caesar salad station to create custom preparations.

Although the menu has been updated, favorites still remain. Each day, Chart House offers a daily selection of fresh fish and juicy beef dishes such as the slow-roasted prime rib that remain staples. Signature sides like sizzling mushrooms, asparagus, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, creamed spinach or toasted vegetable Orzo complete the entrees.

Chart House’s signature dessert, hot chocolate lava cake, is the perfect ending to the meal.

The rich chocolate cake with molten center is made with Godiva liqueur. Served warm, topped with chocolate sauce, Heath bar crunch and vanilla ice cream. Chocolate lovers will rejoice!

Sunday Brunch is offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Favorite selections like the macadamia nut French toast that is grilled and topped with pineapple, bananas, fresh berries, sautéed in a Meyer’s Rum maple syrup are decadent and delicious. While the smoked salmon benedict, made with Thomas’ English muffins topped with poached eggs, smoked salmon, and Old Bay hollandaise sauce is the perfect savory choice. All brunch specialties include the famous salad bar.

Chart House’s commitment to excellence is showcased in each menu item through careful preparation and quality ingredients. In addition to the stunning locale, the menu offers something unique and the new modern makeover only serves to enhance a superb experience.
