Video Production Summer Intern

The videography intern will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Business Development, for the duration of the internship. The internship is a minimum of 20 hours each week for a minimum of 10 weeks.


Objectives:

  •  Experience and participate in off-site video production;
  •  Managing real-time, deadline-driven projects including video editing;
  •  Comfortable working independently and strategically;
  •  Experience storyboarding;
  •  Familiar working with videos on social media platforms, including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn;
  •  Learning project management skills and utilizing the project management program Basecamp

Statement of Work:

  •  Developing and producing content including short client videos for social media and web site use
  •  Uploading monthly content to websites and social media platforms
  •  Experience with video production and photography skills a plus
  •  Basic video camera, lighting, audio recording knowledge preferred

 

 

Marketing Summer Intern

The marketing intern will work under the direct supervision of Director of Marketing, for the duration of the internship. The internship is a minimum of 20 hours each week for a minimum of 10 weeks.


Objectives:

  • Experience writing client-focused copy for print and digital platforms
  •  Managing real-time, deadline-driven writing and marketing assignments
  •  Comfortable working independently and strategically
  •  Experience writing content for client-focused social posts and in-house social media platforms
  •  Familiar working with social media platforms, including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  •  Learning project management skills and utilizing the project management program Basecamp

Statement of Work:

  •  Developing and writing content including feature stories, blogs, department items calendars, social media posts, articles, and profiles
  •  Use WordPress, Constant Contact, Sprout Social, and BaseCamp for client and in-house marketing and social projects
  •  Uploading monthly content to websites and social media platforms
  •  Assist in planning, coordination and promoting company events
  •  Experience with video production and photography skills a plus
  •  Basic PhotoShop knowledge preferred or willingness to learn

 

 

Publishing and Content Development Summer Intern

The summer intern will work under the direct supervision of the Managing Editor of SpaceCoast Living Magazine, for the duration of the internship. The intern is expected to work a minimum  of 20 hours each week for a minimum of 10 weeks.


Objectives:

  • Experience writing for company clients;
  • Learning to think strategically about content, both print and digital;
  • Increase the understanding of the importance of content and the repurposing of it;
  • Experiencing real-time, deadline-driven writing and content assignments;
  • Having the opportunity to apply communication concepts and theories learned;
  • Researching new clients and developing strategies for content use;
  • Experience working independently and strategically.

Statement of Work:

  • Proofing and editing content according to AP style
  • Developing and writing content including feature stories, blogs, department items, calendars, and profiles
  • Uploading monthly content to websites and social media platforms
  • Working with our editorial and digital marketing staff in supporting and creating exciting regional content for our brands and our clients for both digital and print platforms;
  • Managing digital magazine editions
  • Reviewing, revising, and repurposing content, identifying key words, inserting internal and external weblinks to maximize organic SEO
  • Executing publications’ digital follow-up process, ensuring all clients and editorial contacts receive the issue’s digital content;
  • Participating in and promoting company events.

 


 

 

Social Media Summer Intern

The summer intern will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Marketing, for the duration of the internship. The intern is expected to work a minimum of 20 hours each week fora minimum of 10 weeks.

Summary:

The Digital Services Department needs one or two interns to help in general content management duties and data entry tasks. The ideal candidate will have their own laptop and cell phone, understand major social media platforms, have good typing skills, and be able to communicate clearly through print and over the phone.


Specific Duties:

Social Media

  • Must be comfortable researching blogs, forums, and online communities related to the
  • industries of our social media clients.
  • Place comments on all popular platforms and blogs that contain link information and drive
  • traffic back to the client’s site.
  • Contributing to team meetings where client social media campaigns are created and developed.
  • Sometimes generate blog posts and circulate through social media platforms.
  • Identify valuable third-party content as it relates to the client’s social strategy and place into
  • pipeline for approval/distribution.
  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn Sprout Social would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in or willingness to learn Constant Contact would be a plus.

Data Entry

  • Good understanding of data entry. Candidate should have the ability to process large amounts
  • of information in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Candidate will need to sign a Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure agreement.
  • Comfortable interacting in a WordPress environment.
  • A basic understanding of web design would be a plus.
